Catch-iup

Friday - 05/08/09-----Mi Cumpleanos

• went to lunch with some co workers to a Mexican restaurant, and of course they had to sing happy Birthday. The pictures look absolutely horrible so I will not post them
• Mariano called sometime during the day and sung Happy Birthday to me, he has never sun to me so I was shocked, but I did have to beg!
• Friday night we went to Olive Garden, Mom and Dad took me out and Robert, Amanda, Jack and Sarah came along too. We had a great time!!!

Saturday - 05/09/09

• got up and went yard selling, then Sis. Tonya called and said that the times were different for the Memorial Service so that was cut short so that we could come back home and fix the stuff, didn't find too much of anything so wasn't a big deal
• Got Aydan's hair cut which I believe is too short but at least we got our moneys worth. It will grow out eventually so I am not so mad
• Thought it was going to be a pretty day so I decided to dry the tent out since it has rained everyday since we got back from camping....Aydan and I took a nap and I was woken up by the thunder storm. I got up and looked out the window because the tent wasn't staked, and it was down in the woods!!! I laughed and went back to bed, oh well.
• Went out with the family for Mami's dinner for Mother's day
• Also, Aydan took a 3 hour nap in his bed for the first time. He was the one that asked to sleep in his room and I laid him down awake and he fell asleep on his own!!! I was sad and worried that he would wake up screaming because of the thunder storm but he didn't!! I am not so sure that I am ready for this.

Sunday - 05/10/09 - Mother's Day

• Had a wonderful day, of course part of the day was about me!!! Mom had Aydan draw on a picture frame and a card and gave them to me. It was really cute.
• Matt helped me get the tent out of the woods, looks fine and all so we will really find out when we go camping again. This time we staked to the ground. I will have to get the tent put up today because it is supposed to rain for the next two days. Hopefully it has had time to dry out.
• Aydan took another nap in his bed, an hour and a half because I had to wake him up to get to the 5:45 choir practice before service. He laid down by himself and fell asleep by himself. I think that I will be okay as long as he doesn't ask to do it at night time. I would drather wait until Mariano is here for that little trial because I am used to having someone to snuggle with!

Monday - 05/11/09

• Friday I got my oil changed and didn't get the car inspected because I thought that I was going to run out of time so I figured I have the rest of the month so I can do it later. Guess what happened!! The check engine light came one, go figure...I was a bit disappointed because I had the car paid off and now this.
• So before Bible Study got the manual out and checked to see what was going on it recommended to tighten the gas tank lid. So I did and on the way home it was still on. Got up the next morning and noticed before getting on interstate that the light was gone!! Thank the Lord!!! I make a good mechanic. Got the car inspected today just in case it was something else.

Tuesday - 05/12/09

• nothing special happened
• take that back - I had lunch with a lady that use to work here. I hadn't seen her in about 3 months so it was good to catch up. My mom and Aydan came and met us for lunch as well so it was good. Aydan didn't cry to go back with me because he knew that he was going to the park - go figure.
• choir practice - it could have been better with a piano player but we all know things come up, so we got to go home early...I am eager about the new CD that we are thinking about doing!!! We are definitely due one.

Wednesday - 05/13/09

• car passed inspection so I guess that there was something to do with the gas tank or the Lord answered prayer and made it work til I got it passed.
• Church tonight - Looking for a good service

Devotional thought

When Caleb came back from spying out the promised land that God gave the Israelites, everyone was complaining about the giants in that land. And I don't know the verse but I was encouraged by what Caleb said, Our God is WELL able to help us get that land. Not that God was able but that God was WELL ABLE. I loved it because it was like God was telling me that he was WELL ABLE to get Mariano back over here!!! I loved it.

I am also reading about about Love and Respect for Husbands and Wives. It is a Focus on the Family book and I am really liking it. It has good points, the wife loves to be loved and the husband likes to receive respect. Typically when one spouse doesn't get what it should get, it doesn't return to the other spouse. I will blog more about it but so far I like it. The author mentions little marital spats that him and his wife had to go through. One spat that I recall was that the author always threw his wet towel on the bed after getting a shower. And he said that his wife hated for him to do that and she would get so mad!!! Mariano doesn't do that because he puts things were they need to go....enough said about that.
